Aimhigher Associates Survey

1.   What is the survey?

The purpose of this survey is to find out about your experience as an Aimhigher Associate. It will ask you a series of questions about how you got involved, the training and development you received, activities you undertook as an Associate and what benefits you think the Associate scheme has provided for learners.  It is an online survey which takes about 15-20 minutes to complete. 

2.   Who is responsible for this survey?

The research has been commissioned by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) which funds the Aimhigher Associate Scheme.  The research is being conducted by an independent research organisation called York Consulting.  For further details about York Consulting see http://www.yorkconsulting.co.uk/. 

3.   How will the results from the survey be used? 

The information you provide through the survey will be analysed by staff at York Consulting and will contribute to a report of the Aimhigher Associate Scheme. This report will be published by HEFCE. Your responses to the survey will be anonymised which means that there will be no information in the report that allows you to be identified. HEFCE will use the information provided in the published report to make decisions about the future of the Associates Scheme. 

4.   What will happen to the responses? 

Your anonymised responses will be used only for the purposes of this research project. No personal data about you will be retained by York Consulting. 

5.   Your Contact Details

The survey has been directed to you through contact details your local Aimhigher partnership holds. Your contact details have not been shared with York Consulting or with HEFCE. The survey asks for some background information about you (e.g. what course you are on, whether you are male or female) but we do not ask for your name or any contact details.

6.   Can responses be changed or withdrawn?

While you are working through the survey questions, you can use the ‘back’ button to return to a previous question if you would like to change your response. Once all your responses have been entered they cannot be withdrawn.
