Education Children and Young People

The work of our Education, Children and Young People team spans all phases of education – from early years and childcare, to the primary and secondary phases of education, to post-16 provision and widening participation.

Our research, evaluation and consultancy expertise is wide ranging and includes:

  • mainstream education and schools
  • 14-19 collaborative provision
  • support for children, young people and families
  • disaffection and inclusion
  • special educational needs
  • education in non-traditional settings and with marginalised groups

Our recent work has focused on key areas of government policy including early years, standards, achievement and school improvement, youth matters, every child matters and the Respect Agenda.

Our clients include central government (The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF), Home Office, Scottish Government, Welsh Assembly Government (WAG)); local authorities; Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT); the Learning and Skills Council (LSC);the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), and the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA).
