York Consulting offers high quality and comprehensive consultancy services.We conduct employment and skills research for policy makers and practitioners – reviewing new and current learning methods, trends, practices, and new technologies as well as evaluating learners’ needs in post-compulsory education and training with the intention of quality improvement.
Our research focuses on the performance of individual learners and providers of learning, informing strategies to improve learner satisfaction, retention and achievement, and aims to widen participation in education and training.
Other areas include adult learning including entitlement to learning, recognition and assessment of non-accredited learning programmes and developments related to the foundation learning tier, as well as research related to higher education in further education. Our research on some of the root causes of disadvantage and deprivation has helped to promote social inclusion and community regeneration.
