The Health team has worked on a range of projects for the NHS, Department of Health, Primary Care Trusts and Local Authorities.

The team has strong modelling skills to analyse the impact of changes in policy, from realignment of services to introductions of new ways of working.In addition, we have a strong background in conducting consultations with stakeholders from across the health and social care spectrum, from patients to clinicians, care workers to senior civil servants.

York Consulting has experience in evaluating the impact of health initiatives aimed at reducing health inequalities in particular groups. We have also evaluated and supported a number of training initiatives in the health sector.

Key projects undertaken in this area of work include:

• NHS Mental Health Training, NHS Health Scotland (2005)
• Mental Aid First Aid Pilot, NHS Health Scotland (2003)
• Healthy Food Provision and Promotion in Schools, Glasgow Centre For Population Health and Glasgow City Council (2006)
• Review of Drug Treatment Service, Effective Interventions Unit (EIU)
