We have recently been asked by the Audit Commission to carry out a study into how LSPs are approaching performance and resource management, with a focus on helping LSPs prepare for the approaching CAA process.

Neighbourhood Renewal and Regeneration

Complementing our rural development work is our long-standing experience and expertise in neighbourhood renewal and regeneration. 

Whether at the national, regional or local level, YCL understand the challenges faced by partners in renewing and revitalising neighbourhoods.  Our broader expertise in partnership development and working, allied to familiarity with the funding and policy context, means we can work closely with clients to help them both develop and evaluate programmes and structures for improving communities.
 
Recent work in this field includes:
  • an evaluation of Neighbourhood Renewal and Neighbourhood Management in Bristol, including work to identify good practice issues for the integratation of Neighbourhood Management Pilots into the City's Neighbourhood Partnerships Programme;
  • assistance in the development of the Academy for Sustainable Communities' Corporate Plan, with a focus on linkages with the new Homes and Communities Agency;
  • a study for the Audit Commission, on how LSPs approach performance and resource management;
  • the evaluation of Neighbourhood Renewal Funding, for DCLG.
