John Rodger is Managing Partner and founder member of York Consulting LLP. He is an economist with specialist skills in evaluation and performance measurement. Over the past ten years, John has managed a range of assignments for Government Departments, Regional Development Agencies, local authorities and Learning and Skills Councils. Key areas of analytical activity have included education, training, enterprise, economic impact and labour market and skills analysis. John acts as an evaluation advisor to a number of Government agencies and is a regular conference speaker.
John is currently leading the YCL team on the Evaluation of the post-16 Learning Arrangements and the Evaluation of Connexions Card. He has also been involved in facilitating a number of skills dialogues on behalf of DfES.
Prior to joining York Consulting, John was an economic advisor with the Government Economic Service; attached to the Department of Employment in Sheffield. While with the Department, he was responsible for the evaluation of mainstream programmes and labour market analysis.
