Kerry is a Principal Consultant with over 10 years consultancy experience. Her expertise lies in project and programme evaluation, and policy and strategy development. She has significant experience of working with a wide range of public and voluntary sector policies and programmes associated with learning, education and social inclusion. Kerry specialises in qualitative research, and her work continually involves consulting with all levels of stakeholders in the learning and education sector through individual consultations, case studies, workshops, focus groups and surveys.
Kerry has directed, managed and worked on a wide variety of assignments for a variety of clients, including Central Government Departments, public sector agencies, local authorities, voluntary organisations and partnership structures. Current projects include: managing a research study to understand the training and development requirements of senior leaders and managers of children’s services (DCSF), project directing the Evaluation of the Re-Ach project - an innovative project using coaching to raise young people’s engagement and attainment in education (DCSF) and delivering local authority case study fieldwork for the 3 year Evaluation of the New Relationship for Schools (DCSF).
Kerry has led several widening participation projects, such as directing an evaluation of the Student Fellowship Scheme: Aimhigher Pilot (TDA, 2005) and managing the Evaluation of the Excellence Fellowship Scheme (DfES). In addition, she has played key roles in high profile Connexions projects and has worked extensively on the adult literacy, language and numeracy agenda, including evaluation and strategy development work for both the Scottish Executive and Welsh Assembly, and evaluation work for the former DfES and QIA.
