Sustainable Communities
Sustainable communities meet the diverse needs of existing and future residents, are sensitive to the environment and contribute to a high quality of life. They are safe and cohesive, well planned, governed, built and maintained, and have good services. (Academy for Sustainable Communities, Corporate Plan 2008-2011)
Whether at the national, regional or local level, YCL understand the challenges faced by partners in shaping and creating sustainable communities. Whether it be the skills required, or the challenges of leadership, or the kinds of interventions which can regenerate and revitalise communities and neighbourhoods, YCL can draw on considerable experience to help clients deliver their ambitions.
