Widening Participation
The widening participation agenda aims to address the large discrepancies between different social groups entering higher education. We have several years’ experience of research in widening participation including evaluations and costing assessments of programmes aimed at raising aspirations and attainment for specific social groups.
Our work has ranged from – research to explore how the aspiration and achievement of young people can be raised – to costing studies to explore the costs of different Aimhigher interventions.Recent projects completed include:
- Evaluation of the Student Associate Scheme Aimhigher Pilot for the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA)University Outreach Survey for the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA)
- Costing Aimhigher activities on behalf of the former Department for Education ands Skills (DfES)
- Survey of Taught Masters students for the Higher Education Academy (HEA)
