Evaluation of Learning Away

Our evaluation of the Paul Hamlyn Foundation’s Learning Away programme took place over four years.

Learning Away supported 60 schools across the UK to enhance young people’s learning, achievement and wellbeing using innovative residential experiences.

Our evaluation gathered more than 11,000 survey responses from students at three time points (pre-residential, post-residential and longer-term follow-up). We also undertook more than 60 student focus groups, 40 staff focus groups and gathered input from more than 700 parents.
