Cost-Benefit Analysis

York Consulting employs economists that are skilled at assessing the savings that publicly funded policies and programmes generate for the state.

We have developed a Fiscal Return on Investment model that has been applied in a variety of different policy areas, including children’s social care, adult social care and primary and secondary mental health. The model calculates savings for different partner organisations (local authorities, police, health etc.) compared with the business-as-usual or steady state position. It assists our clients in understanding the financial viability of policies and programmes and is an important component in the assessment of their impacts.
