13th April 1989.....Eternal Flame by the Bangles was #1 in the UK charts, Millwall and Coventry were in the top six of the old First Division (now the Premier League), and the latest mobile phone cost a staggering £4,700 in today's money. It is also the day that York Consulting was officially established by John Rodger - our Managing Partner to this day. We're extremely proud to be here 30 years on and remain as enthusiastic as ever about continuing to offer high quality research and evaluation services to all our clients. A lot has changed in terms of how we communicate and do business (email had barely been heard of back in 1989) but our core values of honesty, quality and commitment remain unchanged. Here's to the next 30 years!
Recent additions to our portfolio of projects include a national evaluation of the Workforce Development Fund for Skills for Care, an evaluation of the National School Breakfast Programme Innovation Project for Family Action, and research into Higher Education admissions processes for the Gatsby Foundation. We are also very pleased to be continuing our relationship with the Mid and East Antrim Agewell Partnership and the National Holocaust Centre.
Finally, a very warm welcome to two new members of staff: Josh Tordoff and Holly Turrell. Josh is a quantitative specialist who has joined us from Capita and is already making a valuable contribution to our Cost Benefit Analysis offer. Holly has joined us from the Research Partnership (the world's largest healthcare market research and consultancy agency) and brings strong skills in qualitative research. We are delighted to have them both on board as we embark on what we hope will be another successful year for York Consulting.
